John C. Montgomery passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Luther Woods in Hatboro. He was 85, a current resident of Warminster and formerly of the Lawncrest section of Philadelphia.
John worked as an accountant for the Internal Revenue Service and PNC Bank and retired from the US Army Reserve with over 20 years of service. He was a longtime parishioner of Saint Joseph Church, Warrington and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. John enjoyed being outdoors, either gardening at home or with family fishing and crabbing in Outer Banks, NC.
He was the beloved husband of Kathleen A. (Delaney) Montgomery and the loving father of John Montgomery (Kathleen), Edward Montgomery (Cynthia), Thomas Montgomery and Kathleen McKenna (Kevin). John was the devoted grandfather of Brian (Mysti), Sean (Amanda), Allyssa (Daniel), Steven, Maggie, Patrick and Michael and great grandfather of Corban and Tolianne. He is also survived by his siblings, Harry Montgomery (Sue), Joseph Montgomery (Fran), Patricia Montgomery, Edward Montgomery (Karen) and predeceased by his sister Betty Montgomery.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing, Friday, July 01, 2022 from 10:15 AM to 11:15 AM in Saint Joseph Church, 1795 Columbia Avenue, Warrington, PA 18976. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM and interment with Military Honors will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
