Obituary

Mary Frances McDonald passed into eternal life on June 6, 2022. Mary was predeceased by the love of her life and her high school sweetheart, Edward 'Mac' McDonald. In 2016 they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary by visiting Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Brooklyn, or as Mac joked that day, by "returning to the scene of the crime". Mary lived a family-rich life, beginning with her beloved parents Catherine and Patrick O'Donnell and her 6 brothers and sisters. Mary and Mac lived a beautiful life together, raising their 6 children in Brooklyn, NY, Indianapolis and Ridgewood, NJ. We know that Mary is in heaven, finally reunited with her beloved Mac, her adored parents, and she is already laughing with her sister Frankie and brother Joe. Survived by her cherished sister, Judy Siegener and brother, Pat (Ann) O'Donnell and many nieces and nephews that she loved and adored. She will be deeply missed by her children, Kathleen Kuhn, Eddie (Terri) McDonald, Jimmy (Cathy) McDonald, Judy (David) Zied, Nancy (Joe) Steadham and Sean (Debbie) McDonald. Her 19 grandchildren were her pride and true joy - James (Stephanie), William, Drew (Dani), Patrick, Katie, Brian, Tommy, Sean, Danny, Maggie, Anna, Joe, Mary, Nancy, Michael, Charlie, Megan, Jack and Molly, and finally, her great grandson, sweet baby James. Funeral Mass at St. Pius X will be on Monday, July 11 at 11am. Burial immediately following at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Family Foundation (MDFF) PO Box 776 Carmel, IN 46032.
