Esq., 77, of Westmont, died on June 20, 2022 in Johnstown, PA. Born on March 3, 1945 in San Angelo, TX, son of Frederick and Ella (McTigue) Williams. Preceded in death by his parents, infant son Steven John, father-in-law John J. Stefanick, and mother-in-law Johanna Stefanick. Survived by loving wife of 30 years Dr. Patti Ann Stefanick; children, John Michael, David Drew, Susan Paige, Richard T. Jr. married to Christy, Brett C. married to Renee; grandchildren Richard T. III, Alexander, Ashley, and Madelyn Williams; and brothers Frederick Williams married to Elizabeth and Edward Williams married to Pat. Richard was a graduate of Greater Johnstown High School, where he played football, baseball, basketball, and was a champion swimmer. He received his BS in 1968 from Drake University, where he received a football scholarship, #44, and also played baseball and ran track. He received his law degree in 1973 from Duquesne University. He worked previously at Bethlehem Steel Corporation as a IRA Assistant, handling grievances that reached arbitration, former Director of Industrial Relations at Asko, Inc., and was currently self-employed with two offices located in Johnstown, where he practiced employment law, civil litigation, estate planning, and real property. In October of 1973, he was admitted to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and to the Western District Court of Pennsylvania. He was past board member of the American Cancer Society and Family Social Services, past member of the Pennsylvania and National Guard Solicitors, panel member of American Arbitration Association, member of the Cambria County and Somerset County Bar Associations, solicitor for Cambria County Medical Society, and was the present solicitor for Indian Lake Zoning Board. Richard was also the past solicitor for Somerset County, and Richland School District. He was a former arbitrator for Basic Steel Expedited Arbitration Panel, Can Industry, and PA Mushroom Industry. He was an avid Steeler fan and loved spending time with his wife and children. He will be sadly missed by his family. Friends and family will be received on Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 3-7 PM at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Friends will meet on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Andrew Catholic Church for a Funeral Mass. Fr. Michael Rothan. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
