Johnny was a warm loving person who was saved by grace through his faith in Jesus Christ. He was a gentle giant who loved to give great big bear hugs, and selflessly help others. He had a general knowledge of most subjects and knew how to fix about anything.
Johnny was respectful of others, and, because of this, he had the respect of those who were in his life. Johnny spent most of his time with his best friend and wife, Diane. They both loved to be outdoors bow hunting, or just enjoying wildlife together which led him to become a board member of the Mecklenburg County Wildlife Club.
Johnny was a proud member of Steele Creek Church of Charlotte; Johnny and Diane were a part of the church from its beginning when it was known as Jackson Park Ministry. Pastor Kelvin, the founding and current pastor, actually married the couple at the old church on January 28th, 1995.
Interment will follow at Forest Lawn West Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, thank you for donations to the American Heart Association: www.heart.org
