Jerry was born in Titusville, FL, on January 27, 1980. He is the son of Myra M. Thomas and the late Jerry A. Pickens, Sr.
Jerry grew up in the community of his birth and attended the Brevard County Public Schools. He also worshipped at several local churches.
Jerry was a quiet young man, a loner, who stayed to himself. He took pride in his attire. Before stepping out into the public, he wanted to be well put together, matching from his head to his toes. He would ask his family "how does this look" or "does this fit right on me." When others saw him, they would never know something was wrong unless he disclosed it.
In 2021, Jerry's health began to decline. His illness caused a lot of stress on his body. Although the pressure was great, he lived a good life.
Jerry is survived by his loving and devoted mother, Myra Thomas; two precious children, Ashonie Pickens and Keyshawn Pickens; loving and devoted aunties, Brenda (Ricardo) Mayo, Jacqueline Ray, Patricia Pickens, Beverly Pickens, all of Titusville, FL, and Patricia (Chris) Pringal of Sanford, FL; his uncles, Frank (Gloria) Thomas, Jack (Sharon) Ray, Ronald Pickens all of Titusville, FL, and James Thomas of Savannah, GA; and a host of precious cousins and sorrowing friends.
