BYRD, Phyllis J., age 83, of Trenton, Ohio passed away Friday, June 17, 2022 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton where she had been a patient for three days. She was born May 25, 1939 in Charleston, West Virginia and moved to Ohio as a child. Phyllis was a mother, grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed knitting and crossword puzzles, and feeding the birds and squirrels. She also loved cooking for her family of Byrds and being with her children and grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, Henry and Hazel (Williams) Stidham; and her husband Eugene Byrd on December 3, 2009. She is survived by three children, Kimberly Combs, Ronald (Sandra) Byrd and Donald Byrd; five grand-children, Kelly (Amber) Johnson, Leslie (Danny) Engle, Emily (Drew) Payne, Ellen (Tyler) Males and Justin Byrd; twelve great grandchildren; five sisters-in-law, Evelyn Byrd, Marilyn Byrd, Patricia Byrd, Terri Byrd and Virginia Byrd; and many extended family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, followed by services at 2:00 p.m. with her grandson, Kelly Johnson, officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park, Trenton, Ohio.
