Jorge I. Garcia "Shorty" 38, of Providence, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021 surrounded by his loving family at Rhode Island Hospital.
Born in the Dominican Republic, he was the beloved son of William Garcia-Castro and Matilde Garcia-Cabrera.
Jorge was the live of the party wherever he was, loved spending time with his kids and family. He was well known for his charismatic personality, caring heart if you needed anything he was always there for you without hesitation. Jorge was always singing, dancing, and making people laugh. He was loved by many. Besides his parents, he is survived by his loving children, Daniel I. Garcia, Juan P. Liriano, Sellymar D. Garcia, Jorge J. Garcia, Yoltzin P. Liriano, Isaac I. Garcia and Javian J. DeJesus. He is also survived by his cherished siblings, Jaris Garcia, Abiatar Garcia and Ruth Garcia and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be Thursday, September 30th from 9-10:30am followed by a Service at 10:30am at the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence. Burial will follow at Pawtuxet Memorial Park Cemetery, Warwick.
