"Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will." Matthew 10:29. James (Jim) Edward Campbell passed away peacefully on June 18th, 2022. He was born in Strong, Arkansas on May 12, 1938 to the late Everett Franklin Campbell and Gussie Pace Campbell. He grew up mostly in Farmerville and Marion, Louisiana, graduating from Marion High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force and then attended and graduated from Northeast Louisiana State University. Jim moved with his family to Baton Rouge in 1966. Early in his career, he was an insurance adjuster for Crawford and Company and USFG. In 1974, he became director of the Louisiana Workers Compensation Second Injury Fund. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patsy Lalumandier Campbell, his above-mentioned parents, and his siblings: Mildred Marshall, Rose Fasi, Emmett Campbell, LaVerne Moore and Sylvia Baker. He is survived by his son, Debbs Nelson (his wife, Wendy), daughter, Kendra Farris (her husband, Andy). He is survived by a brother, G.W. Campbell and stepchildren: Treva Ory, Ronni Smith and Allen White. Jim enjoyed fishing and hunting throughout his life, especially with his son. In his latter years, he took joy in the simple things like feeding and watching the birds and squirrels and visiting with family. The family would like to thank his wonderful caregivers and Griswold Home Care. Also, many thanks to Audubon Hospice and nurses Sidney and Shelley. A private celebration of Jim's life was held at the home of his daughter.
