Shirley Ann Barkhimer, 83, of Greenwood, passed away at 9:01 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Johnson Memorial Health Hospital.
Shirley was born on September 12, 1938, in Canton, Ohio, the daughter of Lawrence and Mary Alice Frinefrock Ruch. On September 21, 1957, she married Jackie "Jack" Lynn Barkhimer.
Survivors include her children, Jennifer (Thomas James) Montgomery III of Columbus, Jeffrey (Mida) Barkhimer of Mooresville; grandchildren, Brandon (Katie) Hardin of Franklin, Katrina (Nick) Mina of Greenwood, Blake (Ashton) Barkhimer of North Carolina, Bobby (Carly) Gramse, also of Greenwood, Tyler (Jennifer Herbert) Barkhimer of Plainfield, Jessica (Chad) Betzler of Indianapolis, Amy (Nick) Rumell of Trafalgar, Caitlin (Vernon) Livingston, also of Plainfield; fifteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul Ruch of Mooresville, Gerald Ruch; four nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Westside Community Church with Pastor Dennis W. Aud officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service Thursday at the church. In keeping with the family's request, cremation will take place after the funeral service.
Inurnment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery at a later date.
