Mrs. John Schenk, 59, of R.R. 1, Breslau, died yesterday at St. Mary's Hospital. She had been in failing health for three years.
Born July 24, 1891 at Baden. Mrs. Schenk was a. daughter of the late Alfred Kaufman and the former Catherine Seegmiller. She attended St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Conestogo, and was a member of the Ladies Aid Society.
She is survived by her husband, three sons Alfred John, Bloomingdale, Elwood and Kenneth, at home; a daughter, Ruth, at home; a brother, Alfred G. Kaufman, Kitchener and three sisters,- Mrs. Louise Maxwell, Kitchener; Mrs. Anthony (Dora) Pautler; Preston; and Mrs. Mildred Kaufman, Lockport, N. Y. Two brothers predeceased her.
The body will be at the Gruhn Funeral Home Until tomorrow when removal will be made to the residence at Breslau where the funeral will be held Saturday at 1:45 p.m., followed by a service .at St. Matthew's Church, Conestogo, at 2:30, conducted by Rev. Harold Brose. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
