Edward Clifton Brown, 78 of Waterbury Center, Vermont after a courageous battle with cancer went home to be with the Lord on January 14, 2022.

Edward was born in Randolph, Vermont at Gifford Hospital on May 11th 1943 to Donald and Glenola (Sayers) Brown.
Edward grew up in Waterbury Center, Vermont after his first four years in Sharon, Vermont. Waterbury Center was always his home and heart.

He graduated from St. Johnsbury Trade School in 1962. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and served two years in Germany, returned home to Vermont and after a bit of time with odd jobs he started working for Green Mountain Power as a lineman where he retired after 34 years of employment, in 1999. During his years at GMP he decided to start a side job becoming a Ferrier which he did until about 1987.

Ed served his community as selectman in Waterbury for six years, he was president of the Waterbury Center Cemetery Association
for many years. He was also a 55 year member of the Winooski Masonic Lodge #49 F&AM of Waterbury and was master of the lodge in 1971.

Ed's interests in life were his love for Country Music, Family and the many friendships he had. Ed never met a stranger. He loved people and could talk with anyone about anything. He loved his animals: horses, sheep, chickens and finally a barn full of registered beagles.
He loved going rabbit hunting with his dogs and his friends. Ed was a member of the Vermont Beagle Club for many years and a life member of the Northfield Beagle Club where he spent many wonderful hours. Through the Beagle world, Ed got to meet and make many friends from all over the United States and Canada.

Edward is survived by his loving wife Deborah, of 36 years, two daughters Kathy Brooks (Bruce Brooks) and Kristina Swinchoski ( Robert Swinchoski), two granddaughters Jamie Burgman (Antwain Burgman) and Kayla Brooks (Mitchell Chadwick), one Great Grandson Joshua Welch, one Great Granddaughter Paisley Chadwick, two sisters Chila Russell and Sharon Hanley (Robert Hanley),
Two nieces Susan Vanderhoof and Sheila Colombe (Walter Colombe), three nephews Steven Swinchoski (Alice Swinchoski), Christopher Surgen and Phil Surgen.

He was predeceased by his parents Donald and Glenola Brown ,a brother Ira Brown ,a brother-in-law William Russell, and sister-in-law Connie Manning.
A special thank you to all our friends and family for all the love and support they gave us thru this battle.
