Douglas Cooke November 3, 1942 – August 30, 2018 Douglas R. Cooke, 76, of East Stroudsburg passed away on Thursday August 30 at St. Luke's- Monroe Campus. He was the loving husband of Sonia (Smith) Cooke who passed away in April of 2017. Born in East Stroudsburg on November 03, 1942 he was a son of the late Robert and Beatrice (Haynes) Cooke. Doug was a lifelong resident of East Stroudsburg. He graduated from East Stroudsburg High School and went on to be a Pilot for the Navy-Airforce. After his honorable discharge he worked for American Airlines as a Pilot. He always kept busy with working at the IGA on Main St., the Pocono Hospital, Fernwood Resorts, and East Stroudsburg School District as a Bus Driver. Doug enjoyed gardening and traveling to Florida with his wife Sonia. He is survived by many family members and friends. Family and friends are welcome to gather at 10:00 am at the Prospect Cemetery 501 Prospect St. East Stroudsburg PA, 18301 on Friday September 7, 2018 for a graveside service.
