Earle Frederick Lique died at Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, WA on April 24, 1997, after a long illness. He was born in Hartford, VT on February 8, 1920, the son of Frederick and Eva (Coutermarsh) Lique.

He was a longtime former Bellows Falls, VT and Walpole, NH resident before moving to the West Coast. He had worked at Moore & Thompson Paper Mill, the Walpole Highway Department and at a local poultry farm. After moving west, he became a manager of a poultry farm and retired in 1982.

He was a member of the Vermont National Guard. He enjoyed doing photography for family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia (Spaulding) Lique of Lake Bay; four daughters, Ruth Newton of Meriden, CT, Kathy Rogerson of Pueblo, CO, Laurie Johnson of Tacoma, WA, and Kimberly Lique of Lake Bay; two sons, Tom Lique of Gig Harbor, WA, and John Lique of Tacoma; eleven grandchildren; one sister, Geraldine Wagher of Hartford, VT; five brothers, Richard Lique of Perkinsville, Raymond Lique of Canaan, NH, Philip Lique of Modesto, CA, Paul Lique of Pepperell, MA, and Charles Lique of Littleton; also several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Evelyn Howard Lique, and two sisters, Cecelia Sprague and Phyliss Sartelle.

Services were held in Washington.
