Patsy Ann Brinegar, 85, of Conroe, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2021, in Conroe, Texas. Patsy was born on July 5, 1936 in Rotan, Texas. Patsy's parents were Ray and Georgia Ashton. Patsy graduated from Rotan High School in May of 1954.

Patsy married the love of her life on June 27,1958, in Rotan, Texas. Her husband, Doyle's career in the oil business let her travel to Japan and Holland with him. While in Holland visiting, she admired the beautiful flowers they grew there. She always liked to keep bright flowers in her yard at her home in River Plantation. Patsy and Doyle moved to Conroe, Texas in 1972. They chose Conroe because of the high quality education system for their three daughter's, Cherlynn, Karen and Stacy.

One of Patsy's favorite outings was to go get her hair done on Thursdays; then go eat with her family afterwards. Some of her favorite pastime activities were playing bingo, dominoes, Skip-Bo, working word searches, but most of all she was an avid reader; she loved books.

Saturday's were always for Aggie Football during the season. Many trips were taken to Aggieland to watch the maroon and white. Patsy was married to an Aggie and loved all of the Aggie traditions.

Patsy is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Doyle Wayne Brinegar, parents, Ray and Georgia Ashton, sister, Betty Ray Ashton and son-in-law, Larry Wayne Bruce. She is survived by her daughters, Cherlynn Bruce, Karen Jefferis and Stacy Brinegar, grandchildren, Heather Phillips, Haylee Phillips, Kolton Jefferis and his wife Brittaini, great-grandchildren, Lily Jefferis and Karson Jefferis, brother, Bill Ashton and his wife Diana, sister, Mary Lou Patterson, as well as other numerous family and friends.

The family wishes to thank the staff at The Wellington, in Conroe, for their love and great care for Patsy.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 2:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will follow in Conroe Memorial Park. You are invited to view our webpage and leave written tributes to the family at cashnerconroe.com
