OBIT from The Clarion-Ledger, Saturday, March 4, 2000: Sunflower - O. B. Bennett, 74, a farmer, died of heart failure Friday at Mississipp State Veteran's Nursing Home in Kosciusko. Services are 11 a.m. today at Sunflower United Methodist Church with burial in Indianola City Cemetery. Card Funeral Home of Indianola is handling arrangements.

Mr. Bennett was a native of French Camp. He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He moved to Sunflower in 1927 and engaged in farming. He served in the Mississippi House of Representatives from 1968-1976. He was a former member of Delta Council and past president of Sunflower Shriner. He was a member of Sunflower United Methodist Church. Survivors include: wife, Esther; sons, Dave Bennett of Birmingham and Andy Bennett of Sunflower; sisters, Josephine Tierce of Indianola and Annette Blaine of Winona; and two grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Sunflower United Methodist Church.
