Patricia devoted over 30 years of her life safely transporting the children of the Holliston public school system. She was an avid animal lover and a staunch supporter and advocate of animal rights. She was politically active, had a great sense of humor, a sassy attitude and a quick Irish wit. Most importantly, Patricia had a generous heart. She loved her children and grandchildren and would do anything for them.
Besides her husband, Patricia is survived by her children, Thomas Joseph Hayes Jr. of Holliston and Kim Marie Mellor, of Dracut. She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Sean Hayes (Heather), Kristin Bedard (Roland), Donald Mellor (Tara), Kalie Ann Nguon (Bryan); 5 great-grandchildren, Jordan Bedard, Owen Fry, Ethan Hayes, Asher Bedard, and Olivia Mellor; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings, Geraldine Archambault and Frances "Bud" Perkins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 20th from 4 to 7 PM at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 21st at 11 AM at Saint Mary's Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in the Parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Angell Animal Medical Center, MSPCA-Angell Attn: Donations 350 South Huntington Ave Boston, MA 02130 or mspca.org.
