Born in Smicksburg, Mrs. Dixon moved to the Edgewater area from Woodland. A former owner/operator of a beauty salon, she taught cosmetology at the vo-tech in Clearfield for several years.
Mrs. Dixon was a member of the Edgewater Union Church and the King's Daughters. She enjoyed life and traveling abroad.
Survivors include her son, Michael Dixon; two daughters, Barbara Elridge and Becky (Richard) Graham; six grandchildren, Michael, Melissa, Jennifer, Kelley, Lori and Laci; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Carl Eugene Daugherty; and a sister-in-law, Pat Daugherty.
Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Dixon; her father, Carl Sloan Daugherty; her mother, Audrey Mae McAninch Daugherty; a brother, Jack Daugherty; and a sister-in-law, Donna Daugherty.
