Funeral services for Eddie Richard Gilliam, 62, Athens Rt. 1, were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Sardis Springs Baptist Church with burial was in Roselawn Cemetery. McConnell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Gilliam died at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Velma Myrtle Woods Gilliam, Athens Rt. 1; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Joan Gilliam Boles, Valhermoso Springs; three sons, Oren Gilliam, Dwayne Gilliam and Danny Gilliam, all of Athens; four brothers, Charlie Gilliam, Athens Rt. 5, Ernest Gilliam, Houston, TX, Elmo Gilliam, New Orleans, LA, and Thomas Gilliam, Decatur; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Coleman, Washington, D.C., Mrs. Ruth Reaves, Rogersville, and Mrs. Louise Johnson, Woodbridge, VA.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
