Steven M. Robison, 67, of Dresden, went to meet the Lord and gained a new body on Thursday, June 16, 2022. Diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Pancreatic cancer in 2015, Steve navigated this with grace and dignity continuing to live his life to the fullest.

Steve was born on May 25, 1955, to Charles Robison and Lila Lee Robison of Frazeysburg. He graduated from Tri-Valley High School in 1973, MATC in 1975 and joined the United States Marine Corps in 1975. While in the Marines, he served 10 years on active duty and 10 years on reserve duty retiring in 1995 as a First Sergeant. He made many life-long friends while serving especially during his time in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, with VMFA-235 F4 fighter jet squadron.

On August 21, 1981, he married Linda Kanavel of Frazeysburg and they celebrated 40 years of marriage in 2021. While Steve was on active duty they were stationed in Millington, TN and Andrews AFB, Washington, DC. During their time in Millington, they welcomed their daughter, Laura, and Steve graduated from Southern Illinois University with a degree in Manufacturing. In December of 1985, he made the decision to leave active duty and began a 36-year career as a Manufacturing Engineer most recently employed by Velocity of Byesville, Ohio. They moved to Westminster, Maryland for 7 years and had their son, Charles, while living there. Steve and his family returned to Ohio in 1992. He was a member of North Terrace Church of Christ serving as an Elder for 28 years. Steve was a man of faith and a true servant of God.

As the children were growing up, Steve enjoyed watching them play sports, coaching Little League baseball, fishing, and raising livestock. Steve was a rabid Buckeye fan watching both football and basketball. One of the highlights of his life was attending an OSU/Michigan football game at the Shoe. Once he figured out social media, he enjoyed reconnecting with his Marine Corps buddies and traveling to squadron reunions in recent years. He was devoted to reading his bible daily and was great role model to his children and grandchildren. If you looked up an example of the word "integrity", it would have Steve's name and picture there.

After his cancer diagnosis, he and Linda made a commitment to travel as much as possible enjoying 3 cruises, a trip to Maine and many trips to Florida. Steve truly enjoyed eating and each trip would focus on the best places for steak and seafood. Hopefully he has found the great buffet in heaven.

Steve is survived by his mother, Lila Lee Robison; wife, Linda; daughter, Laura (Jon) Sines; son, Dr. Charles (Dr. Sabrina) Robison; granddaughters, Gabrielle (Dylan Untied), Cassidy, Addie and Lila; great-granddaughter, Ambrielle; sister and brother-in law Marty (Graham Trainor) Chaney; brothers-in-laws, Wally (Sheila) Kanavel, Mark Kanavel, Rollie (Lynn) Kanavel and Ken Chaney, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his father, Charles Robison, and brother-in-law Tim Kanavel.

Steve was grateful for the excellent care he received from his oncologist, Dr. Sameh Mikhail and the Zangmeister Center in Columbus. He was able to live many additional years due to their expertise. The family wishes to thank Genesis Hospice for the care and kindness shown to Steve during his final months enabling him to die at home which was his wish. The family also wishes to thank his many close fellow Marines for the outpouring of love shown to Steve during the past several months. Semper Fi.
