Betty Jean Gibson 87 of Lusby, Maryland, passed away on June 4, 2022.
Born on September 19, 1934 in Leesburg, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Elmer Beavers and Eugenia Ellen (Sutphin) Beavers.

Betty was a high school graduate of North Western High School in Hyattsville, Maryland. She moved on to become a Personnel Manager for G.C. Murphy Co., and continued to work in that position for many years.

Betty was affectionately known for her love of art; specifically for her beautiful drawings and sketches. She was passionate about planning and preparing for large gatherings with her beloved family and friends. Always a gracious hostess, she will forever be remembered as being the glue that held the family together.

Betty is survived by her best friend and devoted life partner, Alfred Anderson; daughter, Christina Anderson-Walsh and David Walsh; sister, Dorothy M. Wilson; brother, Thomas E. and Patricia Beaver; grandchildren: Brian Anderson, Shayla Parrott, Anthony Walsh, Rhyanna Walsh, Samantha Walsh; as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother in law, Howard S. Wilson; and sister and brother in law: Joan and Victor Esch.

A gathering for friends and family will be held at Rosedale Funeral Home on Friday, June 17 from 12pm until time of the service at 1pm. A burial will immediately follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
