William Vaughn Alexander, Jr., 59, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 17, 2022.

Vaughn was born July 29, 1962 in Ft. Myers, FL to Barbara Hamaker Alexander Bowles and William Alexander, Sr. He attended elementary and Jr. High in Ft. Myers and then after moving to Lake Charles with his mother and sister, graduated from Barbe High School in 1981. He held several jobs while attending high school. Vaughn eventually made his way back to Florida, making it his home from 1989 until 2021. His passions were construction work, especially high-rise condos and laying on the beach.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Barbara Hamaker Bowles of DeRidder, LA; aunts, Judy Hamaker McCullough and Randell of Moss Bluff, LA, Frances Alexander Miller of Albany, GA; uncle, Clifford Alexander and Judy of Rosewell, GA; extended family, Steve and Bunny Woods and family of Leesville, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Vaughn is also survived by his beloved cat, Booger Bear, who was rescued from the ditch where he had been thrown out shortly after his birth. He will be 13 years old in November.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Alexander, Sr.; sister, Debbie Alexander; grandparents, Clark and Dovie McRae Hamaker, Med and Dottie Alexander; great grandmother, Naomi McRae; other family, Jackie and Margie Hamaker, Dale Hamaker and Chlora, Glenn Alexander, Shirley Alexander and Joyce, Peggy Koon and Floyd
