Funeral Service At Steep Hollow For Loved Woman

At Steep Hollow church Sunday funeral services were held for the late Mrs. Thos. A. Hensarling whose death occurred at the family farm home in that community Saturday morning at 6 o'clock. The church was filled with relatives, friends and neighbors who had know an loved the deceased during her long and useful life. Floral tributes in abundance made a mound of beauty at the pulpit in the church where the casket was placed and a blanket of carnations and lillies covered it over with beautiful coloring of palest pink and white blossoms.

Rev. R. L. Brown, Baptist pastor at College Station, conducted the services reading a selection of favorite scripture and offering prayer for the comfort of the bereaved family. The church choir sang two hymns and a special musical number was by a male quartet, E. U. Peters, J. C. Cloud, Louis Thompson and I. A. Taylor. Miss Bertie Risinger was accompianist.

Judge W. C. Davis of Bryan, a life long friend of the family, was present and paid a beautiful tribute to the Christian life of Mrs. Hensarling, "As a devoted wife,,as a mother and grandmother, as a friend and neighbor, her life was filled with noble deeds" said the speaker, "and the influence which she had srought in the hearts and lives of those with whom she lived and labored will be a benediction forever."

McCullouch-Dansby, funeral directors of Bryan, had charge of all arrangements. The following nephews of the deceased served as pallbearers: Abe Hensarling of Hearne; Roland Dansby and Joe White, Jr. of Bryan; Munroe Gandy of Steeles Store; Henry Gandy, Jr. of Wellborn; and Louis Thompson of Bryan.

Among those from Bryan attending the funeral services on Sunday at Steep Hollow church for Mrs. T. A. Hensarling were Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Brock, Mr. and Mrs.R. B. Grant, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Martin, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Locke, Mr. and Mrs. Sam E. Eberstadet, Mr. and Mrs. Clyude Goen, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Cloud, Mr. and Mrs. Grover C. White, Mrs. Mary Shelburne, Mrs. Lee J. Roundtree, Mrs. W.
