Christian Lovaas was born on February 6, 1895 at Toronto, SD to Mr and Mrs Theodore Lovaas.

He passed away after a short illness on December 18th,1965 at the Hendricks Hospital, having attained seventy years of age.

Chris attended schools in Toronto, and later entered Civil Service. Mr Lovaas was a retired rural mail carrier, having worked in the Toronto and Gary rural routes for forty years. He was in Civil Service for a total of forty two years, and was a resident of Gary for thirty years.

Mr. Lovaas served in the US Navy and was a Charter Member of the American Legion.

He was united in marriage to Myrtle Leaf of Kirkhoven, MN on May 27, 1922.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, two sons, Allan and Richard and one daughter (Ruth) Mrs Ordean Nelson.

Funeral services were held in the First Methodist Church at Gary. Military graveside rites were conducted by the American Legion Peden-Cole Post 109 of Gary.
