Ruth E Gust, 91, died Monday, Aug 5, 1996 at her home In Las Vegas, Nevada. Bom as Ruth Elizabeth Middleton on May 16, 1905 in Mokane, Missouri, she was raised in Marmarth, North Dakota, moving to Tacoma, Washington during the Depression, and then to Las Vegas in 1947. Ruth was a waitress until 1954 when she became a business agent for Culinary Local Union 226. She remained in that position for 33 years, watching It grow from infancy. Because of her dedication and courage as a union member, her fellow members called her the "God Mother of Local 226". She was a 50 year paid member of the Union. She had 2 sons, Robert W. King, deceased, and Richard King of Gig Harbor Washington. At her request, there will be no service. The family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice.
