Edna was the daughter of Arthur S. Clark and Georgia A. Long. Her father died when she was a young child. She had a sister Maude Edna, aka Ella Clark.

Edna Maude used her maiden name Clark after her last divorce. Her married names were Crowley and Richards.

At age 19 Edna married John H. Crowley who was about 10 yrs her elder in Lowell Massachusetts, son of Thomas and Margaret (Ducey) Crowley. John had been born in Dracut Massachusetts. They were both from Ashland NH and he was a mill operative. They married May 1, 1896 and had a son Frederick Arthur Crowley (Carl E.) born Dec 5, 1896. They were divorced and John moved to Lebanon NH where he remarried.

Edna M. Crowley was 22 yrs old in the 1900 census and resided with her mother Georgie Clark in Holderness. Edna was enumerated as born Jan 1878 and had been married 5 yrs with one child living. Her 4 yr old son Carl was living with her. Her siblings were also in the household Ernest W. then ae 29, Willis H. age 27, Sherm A. 24, Maude E. 20, and Flora B. age 18.

Edna married Orlando H. Richards Feb 10, 1902 when she was 24 in Plymouth (and on June 1, 1908 in Ashland when she was 30). He was a barber and had been born in Lincolnville, Maine son of William L. and Clymena J. (Richards) Richards of Maine. Orlando had been living in the Cotton Hotel in Ashland in 1900.

They were divorced and Edna went back to using the name Clark.

In the 1920 census Edna M. age 40 and her son Carl E. Crowley age 22, and also in the household at that time was her brother Willis H. Clark age 43, single and her brother Sherm who lived with Edna for most of his life.

By 1940 Sherman and Edna M. were living together in the same place on South Main Street in Ashland. Edna M. Clark was 61, divorced and a millworker and her brother Sherm was 63, single, and doing road work. Also in the household was Edna's grandson James S. Crowley age 18, son of Carl. Edna owned the home and on the other side, renting, was her son Carl E. Crowley, 42 and family.

Edna and Sherman were still living together in 1950 and Sherman was now doing carpentry work and Edna still working at the textile mill.

Edna died at the Memorial Hospital in Plymouth, a resident of South Main Street in Ashland at age 79.
She died from pneumonia due to cardiac insuffiency and hypertensive heart disease. Edna was buried Green Grove Cemetery on April 30, 1957, Edward A.Dupuis, undertaker, under the name Clark. (Her name was Clark on the death record and divorced status, daughter of Arthur W. Clark and Georgianna Long.)

After the divorce, Orlando Herbert Richards continued to reside in Ashland where he had established a barber shop and died at age 69 in 1946 at the Plymouth Hospital and was buried in the William I. Richards family lot in Camden Maine on June 12, 1946, Samuel W. Gammons, undertaker, Plymouth. Orlando had also been married to Martha E. Holmes in 1924 and was later divorced.

Edna's stone is in front of Flora A. Clark which is in front of Edna's son Carl and wife Vera.
