Mike was the son of George Credditt and Bessie Mae Rouse. He was educated in the Dougherty County School System and was a Class of 1978 graduate of Albany High School in Albany, Georgia. He served in the U. S. Navy from November 3, 1978 until November 2, 1982 and received his Honorable Discharge. He received his Basic Training in San Deigo, California, completed A school training as an Aviation Boatswain's Mate and served his tour of duty stationed at 32nd Street Naval Base in San Diego, California. After his service, he returned to Albany, Georgia and was employed with the Firestone Tire & Rubber Company until the plant closed down. He then relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where he was employed with the Veteran's Affairs Hospital VAMC Atlanta in Decatur, Georgia.

2 Sisters: Rev Mary Rouse Edwards, Carrie L. Rouse and Belinda F. Rouse.
4 Brothers: Charlie Rouse(Barbara Lynn), Hosey Rouse(Laura), Harold Bennett and Gregory Burnett.
1 Aunt: Marie H. Barrett.
1 Great Aunt: Martha Kalip.

Graveside services were held Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 11AM in the Riverside Cemetery in Albany, Georgia.
