Rev Stacy Levon Briggs
December 05, 1975 - June 09, 2022

And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb (Genesis 25:24). Stacy Levon Briggs was born December 5, 1976, in Fort Pierce FL, to Carolyn Houston and the late Jimmie Briggs Sr. Although he acted older, he was born 5 minutes after his twin brother Tracy.

Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning (Proverbs 9:9). Stacy received his education in the St. Lucie County School system. He Graduated from Westwood high school class of 1995. Stacy was athletic and highly active in league basketball. Despite normally being quiet he was very loud on the court.

Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord (Proverbs 18:22). Stacy found his good thing with the help of his cousin Yulonda Avant in 1994. While attending Church at Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Stacy met and fell in love with his bestfriend Rashawnda Harris. The two were married June 17, 2000, and through that union 3 beautiful children were created Zakeycia, Shakeria and Stacy Jr. Stacy was an amazing husband and an even better father. He cared and nurtured his children and wife until he took his last breath.

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6). Stacy received the basic instructions before leaving earth from the womb. His mother made sure to keep him in church. He received his spiritual foundation at Greater Faith Church of God under the Leadership of the late Bishop Frederick LaFleur. Stacy sung in the Gospel Angels Choir under the direction of Mother Pressley. When his family transitioned to Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church 28 years ago, Stacy became involved with the youth department. He also played on the Church's basketball team. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much (James 5:16). After a lot of praying from his mother and late grandmother Louise Ingram Houston Stacy accepted God's call. He was ordained as the Youth Minister under his great uncle Bishop Clarence Ingram many years ago, and he served diligently. Not only did he take on the roll of Minister he was the adult Sunday School teacher, assisted with the upkeep of the Church, Bible Study, Tuesday night Prayer service and the Church choirs.

And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, write, blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them (Revelations 14:13). In the early morning hours of June 8, 2022 the Lord saw fit to call his servant Rev. Stacy L. Briggs home. Although we will miss him dearly in his words "my work is done. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Louise Houston, "Granny Pooh", father Jimmie Briggs, brothers, Louis Bostic and DeRio Briggs and his god-mother, Edith Pressley.
