Foster D Button, 82, passed away June 7, 2022 at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital Norwich NY.

He was born in New Berlin, NY on November 13, 1939 to Miner and (Emily) Virginia (Foster) Button. He was the only baby in the hospital at that time.

Foster graduated from New Berlin Central School and then enlisted in the US Army for three years He was stationed in East Germany and left there before the Berlin Wall was erected.

Foster married Linda R Randall on May 10, 1986 at their home in Pittsfield, NY in front of their fireplace. Present were their four children David, Rodney, Richard and Tammy, their mothers Virginia Button and Ruth Randall and two attendants.

Foster was of the Baptist faith and liked to watch Sunday morning church programs with wife Linda.

He worked for Agway Energy Products in New Berlin and then in Sherburne, NY for thirty-one years until his retirement in 1998. "Pop" was also self-taught in computer repair and always helped others when they had a problem. He enjoyed the family stopping in to say hi and they often picked his brain about all kinds of projects they were working on.

Foster is survived by
his wife Linda,
his son David Button (Suzanne) of Winter Haven, FL,
step children Rodney (Tina) Brimmer of Bushnell, FL,
Richard Brimmer (Dauna Osborne) of Garrattsville, NY,
Tammy Brimmer-Grant (Mike Miller) Pittsfield, NY
and grandchildren Thomas Grant, Pittsfield, NY, Jacob Grant, Garrattsville, NY and Andrew Grant, Pittsfield, NY.
Also surviving are
sister Idabell Huyck of Sidney, NY,
brother Arthur Button of Eastland TX,
sister-in-law Nancy Button of Norwich, NY,
special friend April Brimmer of Garrattsville,NY
as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews and in-laws.

Foster was preceded in death by
his parents,
his brothers Richard Button,
Jan Button
and Richard Huyck
and son-in-law Donald Grant.

Foster requested no funeral or calling hours.
For his last job on earth Pop surprised us all and planted some sprouted potatoes as well as two pear trees.

Foster's family has entrusted his care to the Johnston & Stanimer Funeral Home in Morris.
