We regretfully announce the passing of Channie K. Modica. She entered the Kingdom of God on Sunday, June 12, 2022, after battling cancer since 2020. Channie passed peacefully with family at home.

Channie, a devoted mother and wife, was brought into this world on Sept. 23, 1963, to Edward and Ruby Sparks.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Modica; brother, David; sister, Carolyn; granddaughter, Kylea along with her parents, Edward and Ruby Sparks.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sisters, Linda and Ellen; brothers, Eddie and Daryl; son, Johnathan and wife Crystal; daughter, Sammi; stepson, Chance; grandchildren, Jonathan, Jesse, Ariel, Asiah, Xavier, Ruby and Sebastian.

Channie dedicated her life to being a loving wife to her spouse John S. Modica, whom she married in 1981. She also dedicated her life to being a doting mother and grandmother. She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and pets, which included taking family trips. Overall, Channie will be remembered as a loving, caring person who enjoyed being a homemaker. Channie will be forever missed.
