Roy Arthur Coffee, 90, of Ashley passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, June 14, 2022 at Kensington Place in Columbus.

He was born January 16, 1932 in Argillite, Kentucky to the late John Henry Coffee and Nora Jane (Nelson) Coffee and graduated from Berlin High School in 1950. He then proudly served 2 tours of duty with the United States Navy during the Korean War aboard the aircraft carriers USS Leyte and USS Oriskany. On June 17, 1953, he married the love of his life, Jo Ann Holstein at the family home in Cheshire. Together they shared almost 68 years of marriage. Sadly, she passed on May 22, 2021.

Roy worked in military electronics and enjoyed golfing and fishing, especially fly fishing for trout and salmon. He also enjoyed collecting antiques with his wife and their home was surrounded by their wonderful collection of Art and Furniture.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Paul (Lesley) Coffee of Washington and Mike (Denise) Coffee of Colorado; grandchildren, Joseph Coffee of Washington and Jordan (Nathaniel) Gosteli of Alaska; great grandson, Declan Gosteli; brother, Luther Ray Coffee of Ashley; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and loving wife Jo Ann, Roy was preceded in death by his brothers Estel, Leander, William Howard, Albert Chester, James Miller, Clarence Everett "Bob", Clyde, Kenneth Ivan, and Burl Elwood Coffee.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no public calling hours or services. Private family burial will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery with military honors provided by the Delaware County Veterans Association.
