April 9, 1944 - November 25, 2021
Edward Jerry Nicholson took his last breath early Thursday morning, November 25, 2021. He was born April 9, 1944. Jerry was preceded in death by his mother and father, Beatrice and Melvin Nicholson; brothers, Charles Nicholson, Donald Nicholson, Jimmy Nicholson, Michael Nicholson; and a sister, Elaine McCullough. A hard working father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle, Jerry is survived by his sons, Ricky Nicholson and his wife, Jody, of Young Harris, GA, Randy Nicholson of Jackson, Jeffrey Nicholson of Sugar Valley, and Roger Nicholson of Cleveland; sisters, Annette Ledbetter and her husband, Paul, of Jackson and Peggy McCullough of Lithonia; brother, Donice Nicholson of McDonough; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Jerry was a great auctioneer and horse trader. He supported his family with hard work and determination in anyway he knew how. Jerry knew someone everywhere he went and never met a stranger. He was brought up to believe that a man is only as good as his word and a simple handshake was binding. There was no doubt that he was a "people person". Edward Jerry Nicholson, you are loved and will be greatly missed. A celebration service of Jerry's life will be announced later.
