The song has ended but the melody lingers on. Linda Jean Taylor, 73, has joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 7, 2022. A native of Independence, LA having been born there on October 8, 1948.

She and her husband, Robert Donald Taylor are longtime residents of Baton Rouge, LA. Known affectionately to Donald as his "Queen Linda Jean", their love a witness to Linda's last words in her physical body, "I love my husband". Linda and Donald were married for mere days shy of fifty-eight years.

Linda loved to travel and became an inspiration to others when she earned her nursing degree at the age of thirty-seven. She thereafter worked as a nurse who touched many lives with her compassion, kind listening ear and gentle, caring touch.

Linda is survived by her husband Donald, and two children Joseph Allen Taylor and Rhonda Renee Taylor Bienvenu and three grandchildren, Meghan, Morgan, and Lauren, two great grandchildren, Corbin and Arabella, brother, Daniel Gordon and two sisters, Edna Evans, and Delores Wolford.

Linda is preceded in death by her loving mother, Beatrice McMorris Griffin and two sisters, Hilda Orona and Johnnie Griffin.

Linda Jean, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother will be sorely missed in this world but those she has proceeded rejoice in the knowledge she now lives in no pain in the warm glow of God's glory.

Funeral service will be held on Friday June 10, 2022, at 1:00 pm at First Pentecostal Church Denham Springs, visitation will begin at 11:00 until time of service. Interment will follow at Sykes Cemetery officiating Rev. Billy Johnson and Rev. Robert Jones.
