Anna Elizabeth "Lizzy" Anderson was born on July 3, 1931 in Kyle, SD to Henry Garnette and Grace (Giago) Garnette. Anna made her journey to the Spirit World on June 14, 2022 at the Monument Health Hospital in Sturgis, SD.

Anna attended grade school and high school at Holy Rosary Mission in Pine Ridge, SD. Anna then found the love of her life, Lloyd Anderson. They began their life journey together. Lloyd was a truck driver while Lizzy was a stay at home worker, raising her 5 children. Then Lloyd went into business with his brothers ranching and selling cattle. In later years, they enjoyed going to Bingo every night together. Lizzy lost the love of her life on October 31, 1992.

Lizzy went on enjoying her life with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending her time soaking in the sun, drinking a cold beer or iced tea, and listening to her music, dancing away. She loved to watch her Old Western movies and Disney movies, especially La Bamba. She also continued to love to go to Bingo. One thing about Lizzy is that she had no filter. She told you how it was. Lizzy was a very lovable person and her door was always open to family and friends.

In 2009, Lizzy was no longer able to take care of herself. She went to live with her daughter Sherry and George for 9 years. She spent the remainder of her life at the Sturgis Monument Long-term Care Facility.

Anna is survived by her children, Monte (Jerry) Anderson of Rapid City, SD, and Artie Anderson, David Anderson, & Sherry (George) Freeman, All of Piedmont, SD; honorary granddaughter, Mary Ann "Jinx" Hastings of Hermosa, SD; brother, Joey (Shirley) Garnette of Pine Ridge, SD; grandchildren, Shawntae Shaw, Mike Harvey, JR Harvey, Kristy Kruger, and Jeremy Anderson; great grandchildren, Mataya Davis, Justin Shaw, Aleiah Shaw, Hailey Rae Shaw, Tessa Harvey, Anna Harvey, Ej Harvey, Jacob Flynn, Brandon Kruger, Jordan Kruger, and Avery Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
