DAVIS -- Funeral services for Timothy Wayne "Tim" Taylor, 46, of Davis, are set for Friday, Aug. 25, 2000, at East Main Church of Christ. Thomas Thompson and Dr. D.M. Eggenberg will officiate. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.

Taylor died Aug. 22, 2000, at Arbuckle Memorial Hospital, Sulphur, following a two-year illness of pancreatitis. He was born Dec. 7, 1953, at El Reno, when his family lived at Hinton.

He moved to Davis in 1956 with his parents, Joe and Margaret Taylor, and sister, Deborah. Taylor attended Davis schools, graduating in 1972. He was active in football, baseball and basketball.

After attending Oklahoma State University in Stillwater for two years, he transferred to Southwestern Oklahoma State University at Weatherford and graduated in 1977 from the School of Pharmacy.

Taylor worked at The Davis News with his mother from 1980 to 1988. He was associate publisher, covering high school sports, and was the photographer. He also worked as a relief pharmacist.

Survivors are his 17-year-old twin sons, Cody Joseph and Denver Alan; his mother, Margaret Taylor, his sister, Deborah Ann Starks of Yukon; two nephews, Rich Bahner of Fort Worth, Texas, and Jason Starks of Yukon; two great-nieces, Bella and Gabrielle; an uncle, Dr. John Alexander of Magnolia, Ark.; an aunt, Mrs. Lois Walters of Haskell; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe W. Taylor, in 1978.

Bearers will be Cody and Denver Taylor, Mike Lee, Pete Douthy, David Pittman, Joe Ray Lucas, Donald Risner, Rick Grider and John Sparks. David Eggenberg III is the honorary bearer.
