Algie Monroe Baker Jr., 55, died Thursday, Aug. 3, at Williamson Medical Center. Formerly of Franklin, Mr. Baker was a resident of Bon Aqua. He was employed as an assistant supervisor with the city of Franklin and belonged to Holt's Chapel Church of Christ.


Survivors include his wife, Helen Elizabeth Baker; two daughters, Kimberly Kay Baker of Bon Aqua and Priscilla Ann (Marty) Taylor of Bending Chestnut; two sons, Gregory Dale (Sherri) Baker and Ronnie Lee Baker, both of Bon Aqua; seven sisters, Pauline Capps, Irene Manion, Betsy Davis, Debbie Logan and JoAnn Hall, all of Lyles, Lucy Bolin of Franklin and Audrey Kleinert of Nashville; a brother, Donnie Baker of Theta; and five grandchildren.


Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 5, at 11 a.m., at Franklin Memorial Chapel with Buddy Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Baker Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Andy Baker, Buddy Baker, Jerry Baker, Chris Brewer, Timothy Brewer and Jeffrey Reed. Honorary pallbearers are Stacie Warwick, Dan Vinson, Carl Scott Jr., Roger Baker, Jason Bolin and Steve Baker.
