Karen Elaine Beaty, 56, of Selma, IN passed away at her residence early Friday morning, January 18, 2008.

She was born in Winchester, IN, July 14, 1951. She was a graduate of Randolph Southern High School and had attended Ball State University.

Karen was a 36 year employee of Anchor Glass of Winchester.

She enjoyed spending her leisure time crafting and crocheting. She cared and loved her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband of 30 years, Robert P. "Bob" Beaty; two sons, Robert Julius Quitman Beaty (wife, Shannon) of Selma and William Clayton Harm Beaty (friend, Lilli) of Selma; her mother, Eleanor Jane Young of Lynn; two brothers, Ronald G. Fisher (wife, Vonda) of Winchester, Jon E. Young (wife, Diana) of Farmington Hills, MI and Don A. Young (wife, Dianne) of Lynn; two sisters, Sargeant (US Army)Doris K. Fisher stationed in Watertown, NY and Jennie B. Young (daughter, Alicia Shantel) of Lynn ; four grandchildren, Maddox R. Beaty, Loralei P. Beaty, Ethan A. Beaty and Angelica A. Beaty; four uncles, Allan B. Catey (wife, Norma), Philip L. Catey (wife, Dinah), John M. Catey (wife, Cathy), and Harry G. Wymer; an aunt, Barbara (Fisher) Coleman; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends; also special friends, Clara and Jerry Daniel.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bill and Iris Catey, and Erman and Ardath Fisher.
