Michael "Mike" Loren Moore, age 66 of Barryton, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022 with his loving family at his home; after a valiant battle with spreading tongue cancer. Mike was born March 4, 1956 to Lyle and Nina (Elliott) Moore in Greenville. He grew up at Clifford Lake and graduated from Central Montcalm High in 1974.

Mike has enjoyed working on and driving fast cars, motorcycles, and snowmobiles. He loved nothing more than deer camp. Mike loved his last pig hunt with his grandchildren and son-in-law at Shawnee Ridge. Mike was a natural born helper and always learning new things. Mike enjoyed camping, NASCAR and spending time with family and friends. Mike was a volunteer firefighter on the Coral Fire Department and a journeyman maintenance technician working at Federal Mogul Corporation until he opened his own business. Mike's Satellite & VCR Service was started in Coral and continued when Mike moved to Barryton in 2006. Mike's proudest accomplishment was his 42 years sober and a proud and active member of Alcoholics Anonymous. He helped to start the Tuesday night meeting at Britton Township Hall.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Vel; children, Michael (Sonja) Moore of Bremen, OH, Chris (Krissy) Moore of Gowen, and Amanda (Mike) Truax of Lancaster, OH; loving grandchildren, Cameron Moore, Sydney Moore, Samantha Moore, Bailee Tompsett, Ella Truax, Alex and Isaac Moore; brother, Dave (Cherie) Moore of Stanton; brothers-in-law, Roger (Marie) Becker of Coral, Jim (Lisa) Becker of Coral, and Carl (Bernadette) Becker of Swansea, MA; sister-in-law Loretta (Barbara) of Warwick, RI; mother-in-law, Judy Becker of Coral; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and very good friends. Mike will be missed by all who knew him.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mike's honor to Spectrum Health Hospice, whom we deeply appreciate. We also want to thank Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home for all their care.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 17th at the Funeral Home. Mike will be laid to rest at East Fork Cemetery in Barryton.
