Vernon Eugene Peacock, age 93 of Sherrills Ford passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Levine and Dickson Hospice in Huntersville.
Born June 14, 1928 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Gilbert Hedrick Peacock and Mildred Lee Dennis Peacock.
Vernon was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. He retired from Carolina Freight as a truck driver after 35 years.
In addition to his parents, wife, Julia Hoyle Peacock and son, Andy Peacock preceded him in death.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Maiden with Chaplain Chris Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton.
