Anna Vandris Lamendola
COLUMBUS -- Anna Vandris Lamendola, 97, of Columbus, died late Thursday afternoon, Jan. 13, 2000, at her home. She was born Sept. 28, 1902, at West Mineral, to Jean Pierre and Leontyne "Lena" Regard Vandris. She attended West Mineral schools.
She married Leonard Lamendola on July 30, 1919. The couple moved to Columbus from Carona in 1946. He preceded her in death Aug. 4, 1976.
Mrs. Lamendola was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Columbus.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann L. Lamendola of the home, who provided for Mrs. Lamendola's care during the last five years of her life, and Lena Stafford of Bethesda, Md.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Jean Coplin; two sisters, Julia Uttley and Lena Richardson; and four brothers, Gus Vandris, Merritt Vandris, William Aikman and George Aikman.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway, with the Rev. Bob Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery at Pittsburg. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 104 W. Main, Weir. Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home at Weir. Friends also may call from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, Pittsburg.
