He was born in Talladega, Alabama to Orbie Davis, Jr., and Carol Bagley Davis.
He had made Waycross his home for the majority of his life. Mr. Davis worked as an electrician for CSX Railroad and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
An avid fisherman, he was featured in two editions of the Georgia Outdoor News. He was also an avid hunter and baseball coach with the Ware County Recreation Department.
He is survived by two children,
Dara Lanier (Billy) of Waycross,
Tyler Davis (Bill Bowles) of Albany;
two grandchildren,
Silas Lanier, and Natalie Lanier;
his parents, Orbie and Carol Davis of Waycross;
one sister, Yolanda Harris (Randall) of Waycross;
one brother, Troy Davis (Cindy) of St. George, Utah;
his fiancé, Karla O'Neil of Douglas;
and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday in Little Utah Cemetery in Axson, Georgia. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m., at the Miles-Odum Funeral Home.
