Randall "Randy" Ellis Foster, 68, died Tuesday, May, 31, 2022 in Buford, Georgia.

Randy was born March 15, 1954, in Albany, Georgia to Charles and Rebecca Foster.

He graduated high school from Deerfield Windsor, and graduated from Troy State University with a degree in Criminal Justice. Randy married Valerie Phillips Foster on August 19, 1983. They were blessed with two daughters: Ivey and Katie.

He enjoyed teaching youth Sunday school at First Baptist Church of Albany, and coaching youth basketball at Byne Memorial Baptist Church. He was very active in the PTO and Booster Club at his girls' schools. He worked in the insurance industry for many years, and retired in 2017 in Buford, Georgia.

Randy enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching old films- especially Westerns! He loved to spend time with his family, and watching his grandkids play. Some of his favorite memories of his daughters was watching them play sports- he never missed a game. He was a member of the BPO Elks Lodge and the Southwest Georgia Exchange Club. He loved working at the Albany Fairgrounds every year.

Randy is survived by his wife, Valerie Foster, and children, Ivey Daly (Timothy) and Katie Hatcher (Zander); his grandchildren, Nora, Benjamin, Kennedy, and two twins due later in 2022; his brother, Charlie Foster (Molly), and sister, Fran Chandler; his father-in-law, Brinson Phillips; and niece and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlies and Rebecca Foster.

Randy will be remembered as for his distinguished voice, friendliness, and love for talking. He never met a stranger, and seemed to know everyone.

The funeral will be at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Home on Saturday, June, 4, 2022 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will follow.

In lieu of flower, donations may be made to the Elks Aidmore Children's Home or the Exchange Club Child Abuse Program.
