Macon, Georgia -Cecil Burnette Deal, age 88, of Macon, GA passed away June 3, 2022. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 2:00PM at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3969 Mercer University Dr., Macon, GA. Interment will be at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Deal was born to the late Jesse and Hallie Holt Deal in Macon, Georgia. He graduated from Lanier High School in 1952. Mr. Deal met and married the love of his life, Barbara, and they shared 64 wonderful years of memories before her passing.
Mr. Deal had a long career as a tool and die maker at Allied Chemical Corporation and Crown, Cork, and Seal. He served his country for many years as a member of the Georgia National Guard. He taught Machine Shop at Macon Vocational Tech in the late 1960's. Mr. Deal was a professional prize fighter from 1951-1960 and loved staying in shape by jogging, shadow boxing, and hitting the heavy bag and speed bag. He had a love for motorcycles and riding his Harley-Davidson gave him great joy.
Left to cherish his memories are his sons; Steve Deal and Lee Deal; daughter-in-law, Deirdre Deal; grandsons, Jesse Deal, Ryan Deal, Alex Deal, and Logan Deal-Figueroa; granddaughter, Alyssa Deal; great-grandson, Easton Deal; and great- granddaughter, Lucy Deal-Figueroa. He was a loving father and grandfather.
Mr. Deal was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Gina Deal Day; granddaughter, Caitlin Day.
