Phyllis was a Christian, enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, knetting and bird watching. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ewing Clark; daughter, Michelle Renee Melendez and her sisters, Freda Keen and Marlene Chambers.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Tommy) Keesee of Salem, VA; son, Ronald (Kathren) Clark of Roanoke, VA; sisters, Bonnie Keen, Connie Keen both of Sevierville, TN and Hester "Bootsie" Horn of Clifton Fork, VA.
She was also survived by seven grandchildren, Lola Marie Clark, Brittney Melendez, Brianna Melendez, Christian Keesee, Amber Keesee, Angela Martinez, Carlton Keesee; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Phyllis Sue Keen Clark will be conducted Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 12:00 noon at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel, Keen Mountain, VA with Rev. David L. Horton officiating with burial to follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool, VA.
The funeral service will be lived stream on Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Facebook Page.
Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday where an evening service will be held at 7:00 p.m.
