Dorothy Lee Jones, of East Knox County, went to live eternally with her beloved Savior Jesus on Thursday, June 9, 2022 just short of her 90th birthday. Dorothy was born July 4, 1932 in Knoxville, TN and spent her life dedicated to her family and her God.

Preceded in death by her treasured husband of 65 years, Bob Jones, son Benny Jones and grandson, Jeff Jones.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Bobby Jones (Mary), Tim Jones, Robyn Brogdon (Hugh), and Debbie Dellinger (Billy), her ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Dorothy loved cooking, baking, shopping, traveling, gardening, going to church, eating ice cream, and spending time with her loved ones. Her home was open to everyone and there was always food on the stove and cake to eat. She always had good stories, wise advice, funny jokes, and unconditional love. She was a member of Sevier Height Baptist Church. She lived her life well. Her life verse was Matthew 22:37, "Jesus replied: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and all your mind." This is the first and greatest commandment." She was greatly loved and will be incredibly missed.

Family and friends will meet at 9:45 am on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Asbury Cemetery for a 10:00 am graveside service with Rev. T.C. Chambers officiating.
