WATERBURY
Fred C. Abare, 92, died Sunday in a South Barre nursing home. He was born in East Montpelier Oct. 7, 1890, the son of Barnaby and Delia (Duprey) Abare. He was married to Clara E. Duprey June 11, 1911 in Mooers, N.Y. He was a plumber by trade in the Waterbury area for several vears.
He is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. Ruby Dalley of Moretown, Mrs Dorothy Green of Waterbury Center, Mrs. Cornie Hough of Waterbury, Mrs. Leonard (Clara) Pratt of Waterbury, Mrs. Armand (Omeline) Morin of Indian Orchard. Mass.. Mrs. Marie Corri of Daisy, Tenn., and Mrs. Roland (Grace) Lee of Moretown; three sons, Richard of Orlando, Fla., Jerome of Foirbanks, Alaska, and Robert of Moretown. Two children, Pauline and Frederick, are deceased. He also leaves 35 grandchildren: 58 great-grandchildren; nine great- great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Etta Borry of Lebanon, N.H; several nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Father Gallighan Council. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesdav at 10 a.m. from St. Andrew's Church. Friends may call at the Perkins-Porker Funeral Chapel Tuesday evening from 7 to 9, with prayers at 8.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Waterbury Ambulance Service inc. Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 95, Waterbury Center. VT 05677.

Funeral Mass held Wednesday from St. Andrew's Church at 10 a.m. The Rev. Charles Fitzpatrick officiated, assisted by the Rev. Edward H. Freeman of St. Norbert's Church of Hardwick. Organist Was Mrs. James Harvey. Bearers were Hollis Pratt, Danny Green, Bruce Carri, Harold Atkins, Edward Hough and George Armitage. Burial will be in Holy Cross
