Obituary for Lola T Walker
Lola T. Walker, 88, passed away on June 9, 2022 in the comfort of her own home. She was born on June 25, 1933 in Salt Lake County to Stanley Merrel and Thelma Myrl (Rich) Todd. She married James L. Walker on October 24, 1950 on roller skates at the S & M Skating Rink in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple on February 7, 1952. She loved sewing, crocheting, embroidering, quilting and scrapbooking. She played in the Swiss Handbell Ringers at Swiss Days and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved having her family around especially during the holidays where she had Jelly Bean Hunts during Easter, playing games at Christmas and making her famous potato salad that everyone loved. She is survived by her two children, Duane Walker and Denise Walker Wootton (Scott). Her grandchildren Shelia Walker, Clint Walker, Travis Walker and Tracee Wootton McNeil (John). As well as 7 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, James L Walker, her parents, Stanley and Myrl Todd, her siblings, Don Todd, Dean Todd and Janice (Todd) Gustin. Family and friends may come to a viewing on Thursday, June 16th from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. We will honor Lola's life at a service held on Friday, June 17th at 11:00 am with a viewing from 9:30 am to 10:45 am at the Memorial Hill Ward located at 250 E. 200 S Midway Utah, 84049. Interment service with a dedication of the grave will be held at the Midway Cemetery.
