Nancy, born in Roanoke, Virginia, was a lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida. She graduated from FSU and began her teaching career at Chamberlain High School and The University of Tampa. She was a member of Temple Terrace United Methodist Church where she played the organ for services for 30 years. Nancy was active in community and organizations in the Tampa area. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crosswords and spending time at her mountain house in North Carolina. She was predeceased in death by her husband of 54 years, William Ross Wofford; her daughter, Susan Leigh Wofford De Lacure; and her parents, Mai Laverne and Merrill Emory Friend. Survivors include her son and devoted friends. A funeral service will be held with Blount and Curry Carrollwood in charge.
