Sherry Rose Young (née Doyle) died on August 22, 2020. Born on August 22 1938, the second of four children to Thomas Richard Doyle and Zehra Wave Smith. Sherry was preceded in death by her Brother Brian, and is survived by her loving husband Thomas Leo Young and her brothers Michael and Larry Doyle (Mary Carol).

Sherry married Thomas Leo Young on January 30, 1960 at St. Dismas church in Florissant Missouri. From what I understand it was a great party and fortunately no one was arrested.

Sherry soon had her hands full with two wonderful children, and a third that couldn't stay out of trouble.

Wendy Marie was married to Tim Adrian, they blessed Sherry with six wonderful grandchildren, Jessica, Rachelle (Greg Waddle), David, John, Matthew, Michael, and two great-grandchildren Lily and Caeli Waddle.

Barry Thomas was married to Sue Rabbitt, they blessed Sherry with two grandchildren, Maddison (Randy Gieselman) and Thomas (Kristin), and three great-grandchildren Aimry Gieselman, Brody Gieselman and one to be named later.

Brenda Kay was married to Greg Knudtson. They blessed Sherry with two grandchildren, Andrew and Amy (Michael Reeb), and two great-grandchildren, Michael Reeb and a baby Reeb to be named later.

Sherry was raised by Tom and Zehra, along with an entire clan of Doyles. She always enjoyed the company of every one of her uncles, aunts and cousins, who knew how to drink beer, work hard and play harder (except Sunday, which was the day of prayer and recovery). Sherry was raised by everyone of them and she instilled that sense of family to her children.

Sherry was also blessed with a circle of friends, who enjoyed each other's company sipping wine, traveling and waiting for the joke at the end of one of her thousand yarns.

Sherry spent her days exploring the world with her husband and friends. She was proud that she visited four continents and 49 out of 50 states. Her family will have to make a trip to North Dakota for her to complete all 50.

Sherry will be missed, and today there will be a hole in a lot of hearts, but she will be with us always in our memories.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 (636-875-1200). A funeral mass will take place at 10:00 am on Monday, August 31, 2020 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7701 Highway N, Dardenne Prairie, MO 63368. Interment will take place at a later date.
