Mrs. Ada Barber Bullington, 70, who had been ill at Powers Hospital for three weeks, died Tuesday, February 10, at 7 p.m.

Rev. A. J. Rollings officiated at the funeral services at the Church of Christ Wednesday at 2 p.m. with burial following in the City Cemetery, McConnell-Service directing.

Mrs. Bullington, daughter of the late Elizabeth Tidwell and Jimmie Barber, was the widow of Eddie Bullington, both lifetime residents of Athens, Route 5.

She has a host of friends who join with the family in extending sympathy in the loss of a loving mother and sister.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ross Whaley (Clarice) of Thach; one son, James Douglas Bullington of Florence; three sisters, Mrs. A. J. Bullington, Athens, Mrs. Howard Humphries, Yuma, Arizona, and Mrs. Leanders Nelson of Cross Key.

Active pallbearers were Henderson Bullington, Wallace Barber, Elvin Stroffengen, Preston Davis, John R. Morris Jr., and Ervin Bullington.
