Diane Cochran, age 81 of Round Lake, IL passed away on June 4, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 14, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois to Robert and Marie Olsen.
Diane was a proud school bus driver of 26 years for Round Lake District #116. She was passionate about her Chicago roots, never missing a Chicago Cubs game. An avid swimmer, she was a member of the swim club of Gurnee and had the honor of being the Round Lake Men's Club Woman's Auxiliary President. In her spare time, you might find Diane crocheting or knitting. She was also a Beanie Baby aficionado and coin collector.
Diane is survived by her son Michael (Amy) Cochran; her grandchildren: Emily (Tyler) Hayes, Brooke Galuszka, Gabrielle Cochran, Lindsey Cochran; her great grandchild Avery Hayes; her sister Janet (Wayne) Pae; her nieces and nephews Michelle (Chris) Gardner, Todd Pae.
Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Owen "Sonny" Cochran in 1996.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9th, 2022, from 4PM to 7pm, with a Funeral Service to follow, at Justen's Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 N. Rosedale Court, Round Lake, IL. On Friday June 10th, 2022, interment will be at 11 AM at Windridge Memorial Park in Cary, IL.
